Our Wedding August 27, 1995

Taking our vows at the alter, I had on an off white dress suite with lace on the shoulders and down the back like tails. Mark had on his cowboy boots but didn't wear his cowboy hate inside the church.

Our Wedding Party, we forgot our bouquets during the pictures. Two of my girls came down from Chicago, IL to stand up, friends from high school and my other friend lived in the same town as us. Mark had three of his friends stand up for him as well but they all lived local.

Our families together, my mom and brother next to me (Lisa) and Marks mom and dad next to him, his parents are divorced but they got along perfect.

Our Wedding Cake, Marks sister-in-law made our cake. I used the top with precious moments and blown glass. It was hard but she was able to make the cake black and white which I've been told isn't easy.We only had two layers and yes we broke tradition, I served the top layer since I wasn't about to eat it a year later. You also see white mints here which I made and believe me I will never try that again, it took me a whole day to get all them made!!

Cutting the wedding cake was fun, we both wore it. We had lots of fresh fruit there as well. You see strawberries, watermelon basket, and so much more.

The grooms cake and all the rest. This is Mark's sister-in-law, she made our wedding cake. The groom's cake a co-worker of mine made for us, its a chocolate sheet cake and its decorated with Mark's hobby of paintball on it as you can see some of the trees and stuff.

Meet Donna and her friend, they sung at our wedding some beautiful songs. Donna also runs the Karokee where Mark proposed to me and she will be at the reception which we went to "50 Yard Line" bar which was our favorite hang out in town until it burnt down while we were on our honeymoon, thank god it didn't happen while anyone was there.

Here we are at the 50 Yard Line when we first got there. This was our reception but it was all our friends that we hung out with every week so it was great. This was my second marriage so I was going to enjoy this reception, that is why I planned it this way. To have fun and enjoy with Mark and our friends.

Here is another picture of us at the bar, see Mark with his cowboy hat on, doesn't he look cute, I just love this picture.

Here we are at our first dance of the evening. Everyone that night was so sweet, they sung karokee songs that pertained to a reception or songs that we really loved, it was better then a band.

Here is a picture while some of us were sitting down at our table, this was filled with just the wedding party, family and close friends. Can you tell we are having a blast, I sure can. Sitting between Mark and I was Mark's mom, she had a blast, can you tell she had cancer, she passed away September of 1996 but she made it to our wedding and enjoyed it with us.

Here I am toasting with my girls that stood up for me, it was great to have them there and I miss Jenny and Christy, they both live up in Chicago but my other friend Christi lives down here.

Here is Mark signing karokee which he loves to do. I don't remember which song this was but he sings songs like "Angel Eyes", "Funky Cold Madena", and many, many others. He raps, country, soft rock and even older rock.

Here is a group picture of the wedding party and some friends singing "Celebration" and we were having a blast.

As you can see we really enjoyed our wedding and I wouldn't of changed a thing. It was not a big formal or fancy wedding but instead it was down to earth, southern style and so much fun. Hope you enjoyed the pictures, I tried to put a few different types to get the feeling of what went on, there are so many other pictures I could put on here as well but didn't want the page to take forever to load. Thanks for stopping by to see our wedding.
